A popular local beauty spot on the A25 near Guildford. Newlands Corner is the centre point of a large area of woodland and chalk grassland that is very popular with walkers and picnickers. Footpaths lead to the villages of Shere, Albury and Chilworth and the area commands some of the best views over the Surrey Hills.

“I went up there last Sunday. Coming from the East on the A25 the roads aren't too exciting. But when I got there, it's a bit like pre-corporate-ised Box Hill (remember when it was just a car park and a burger van) atmosphere wise. Very friendly, people talk to each other, no posers, not too many race boys. The food's good and very reasonably priced and if you like vintage bikes, well, I don't think I've seen a Vincent Rapide C, a Velocette Thruxton and a BSA DBD34 Gold Star anywhere else except at a motorcycle show. Their owners where actually just out for a nice day's ride. I'm not sure whether I should be publicising this site or keeping it a well guarded secret, less it turns into Box Hill.”

“Gets a bit chilly if the weather's bad, but a beautiful spot with passable food (burgers, chips, jacket potatoes etc).”
