Our Plaice was founded in 1968 by Mike and Maureen Howard, moving to the present location 21 years ago. In September 2005, Mike and Maureen decided to retire from the day to day running of the shop, leaving it in the capable hands of son Paul and the friendly team. Paul comments that when his dad worked he only interfered 3 or 4 days a week; now he pops in each day just to make sure only the finest fish and best potatoes are being fried. The menu includes the usual firm favourites, plus a variety of meals and deals, as well as a Catch Of The Day, fresh from local Fish Markets. There's an outside seating area, and a large, flat car park. The owner is a biker, so bikes are always welcome. Open all day except Sunday.
