The Avalon is a family-run hotel, bar and restaurant situated right in the centre of the pretty coastal village of Whitley Bay, ten miles east of Newcastle in the North East of England. The 19th century conversion boasts a great bar, renowned English breakfasts and fabulous sea views. The Avalon welcomes responsible motorcyclists and offers a number of unique services and facilities such as secure and covered parking for motorbikes with ground anchors, alarm and CCTV coverage. Michael, the hotel proprietor, is an advanced motorcycle instructor and will be pleased to organise either guided or directed motorcycle tours through Northumberland, the Scottish borders and surrounding areas. Maps can also be provided. Formal motorbike training courses are also available.
